The Peer-to-Peer Finance Association has announced that it will partner with LendIt to co-host its annual conference in London in October.
Focusing on peer-to-peer lending as central to the future of mainstream financial services, the conference will be held against a backdrop of further significant growth in the sector. It is expected to be the largest peer-to-peer lending event in Europe this year, with the number of delegates anticipated to exceed a thousand – including all the main European and UK platforms, policy-makers, regulators and investors.
Christine Farnish CBE, Chair of the Peer-to-Peer Finance Association commented: ‘London is acknowledged as a global leader in the development of innovative finance, and I am delighted that the Peer-to-Peer Finance Association will be co-hosting our annual conference once again this year with LendIt. In the context of the mainstream expansion of peer-to-peer lending, this opportunity to demonstrate just what our sector can do will reach well beyond the conference hall’.
Co-founder of LendIt, Peter Renton, added: “We are delighted to be back in London for our third annual LendIt Europe event, and partnering with the Peer-to-Peer Finance Association again. As the lending industry rapidly evolves, it is important to have regular events to bring together the key constituents in the marketplace and address the opportunities and challenges that come with these changes. LendIt is committed to creating the leading community event where all lending platforms, investors and service providers can gather to network, learn and grow the industry together.”
